It was recently my husband’s 40th birthday and I wanted a special cake to mark the occasion. Susie sent me lots of great and very unusual ideas; I then adapted them so as to personalise the cake. I was absolutely delighted with the result; it was even better than what I had in mind. The cake tasted amazing and looked absolutely perfect; the attention to detail was brilliant (for example, the tartan on the kilt).

Everyone at the party commented on how great the cake was. Susie was very reliable – she made and delivered the cake in plenty of time for the party and I would strongly recommend her services to anyone looking for an extra special cake to mark an occasion.

SK Cakes came to my rescue with only a couple of days notice to come up with an idea and create a cake for a joint birthday for my sister and niece. She more than met the challenge with the most beautiful buttercream cake covered in rose swirls which tasted every bit as good as it looked. The cake met with oohs and ahhs from all present… Thank you Susie.

I have to say a huge THANK YOU for the cake. What an absolutely phenomenal creation!! When we met you at the Nonsuch wedding fair I knew you were the sort of cake maker who would take our ideas and run with them. You certainly did that. I came to you with not a lot more than colours and pictures of things I liked. You took that and ran with it, sketching so many wonderful creations it was hard to choose. We didn’t see any other suppliers, we knew on that evening in your studio that you were our cake maker.

What resulted was the most dream worthy cake that tasted like I’d died and gone to heaven. You even created a new flavour for us – consequently the only flavour we didn’t have much of left. The intricacy of the sugar work, well, they were like real flowers! Unbelievably delicate and beautiful. Everyone has raved about the cake saying how amazing it was and for us, the impact of it was exactly what we wanted. Classy with a touch of POW! Thank you, Susie, for making our dreams are reality.

Many thanks again the cake was just wonderful. Upon viewing the beautiful cakes and reading the testimonials on Susie’s website, I was sure I would be in safe hands. I was correct, Susie was absolutely lovely to deal with and took my draft ideas and turned them into a simply beautiful (and now legendary) cake!.

My partner Gary was over the moon with his 40th Birthday / League winners cake creation. Susie’s attention to detail when creating our two icing figures in full football kit was incredible; especially the tiny little football badges!

I cannot wait to have another occasion where I will have the pleasure of seeing and tasting another of Susie’s cakes. They are quite simply beautiful and taste heavenly. You will not be disappointed.
